Day 6 of 21

This photo is at the Acropolis in Greece but I am typing this post from a internet Cafe in Rome.

Ryan and I made it to Rome last night.

Two days ago at 6pm or, 18 o'clock if you're European, we got onto the enourmous ferry from Patras to Bari for a 15 hour trip across across the sea.

Because Ryan and I are cheap travelers we bought the deck tickets for the overnight trip which pretty much meant we would sleep on the hard windy deck of the boat the whole night.
20 minutes after taking off from Patras, I caught Ryan stairing at two young ladies. I jokingly asked what he was looking at and he said with sort of a chuckle that he thinks those might be girls who go to Biola. So I jumped up and headed right toward them and asked, "Do you live in California?"

Turned out they did live in California and not only that, they went to Biola. It happened to be that Ryan and I bought tickets for the same boat the Biola Honors Torrey Institute had 45 students on. They gifted us with a dinner meal and also we Ryan and I slipped into a couple guy's rooms who had extra beds. What a blessing. Dr. Reynolds said, "Your tuition was high enough."

After we woke up today in our cosey hostel which we paid 25 Euro for, we headed to cafe where we got our included chocolate croissants and cappicinos. We were hooked up with a pretty good deal by a kinder hostel shark who invited us to his for that cheaper price. Ryan and I had already visited another hostel that charged 70 Euros each and almost cried. We shared a room with an Elderly Italian man who was very kind and just social enough to keep us comfortable.

So we're headed into the glory of Rome today. We dropped of our backpacks and now we're ready to burn all the fat off our bodies trying to see everything we can.
